First...I think the colour is "natural"..no need to clean it away. But - we're different, and that's ok. What you got to do is take a piece of sandpaper and destroy the blank surface of the chrome. Otherwise no paint will stay there. Second, you must clean it VERY carefully, so there is absolutely NO GREASE from your fingers..
Then apply the colour exactly as said on the spraybottle or can. Remember that the paint hardens when it gets heated, not before... so drive for a short while, take a brake, let the pipe cool 'til you can put your hand on it, and then drive so the pipe gets really HOT. That should do it. Then pray it was a brand that stays on. It will get darker the more you drive, and hardly stay like polished alu for a whole year.
